# How Pandabase Direct works (/v2/direct)

With Pandabase Direct, you remain the legal seller. Pandabase provides checkout, billing, invoicing, and payment processing through our partners. You keep responsibility for tax, disputes, and fraud liability.

## What Pandabase handles [#what-pandabase-handles]

| Checkout      | Hosted, embedded, and in-app checkout.                                                                       |
| Payments      | Payment processing through our partners, with the same payment methods and currencies as Merchant of record. |
| Billing       | Billing, invoicing, and payment links.                                                                       |
| Buyer support | Help buyers with billing questions.                                                                          |

## What you handle [#what-you-handle]

You set your prices, deliver your products, and provide product support. As the legal seller, you also handle tax registration, collection, filing, and payment where required. Dispute and fraud liability stays with you.

Billing support is included, but it doesn't transfer these responsibilities to Pandabase.

## From payment to payout [#from-payment-to-payout]

1. A buyer pays through checkout.
2. Our payment processing partner processes the payment for you as the seller.
3. You deliver the product or give the buyer access.
4. Payments are settled through the processing partner under the terms for your account.

## Fees [#fees]

The standard rate for software and digital products is &#x2A;*3.9% + 29¢** per successful transaction, plus processing costs passed through at cost. See [Fees](/v2/direct/fees) for an example or [Pricing](/v2/pricing) to compare modes.
